AT&T Center

The AT&T Center is an indoor arena in San Antonio, Texas, United States, that can be used for many different things. It is where the National Basketball Association's San Antonio Spurs play.
The arena has enough room for 18,418 people to watch basketball and 19,000 people to attend concerts or other events. It opened in 2002 as the SBC Center at a cost of US$175 million, which was paid for by county-issued bonds and a tax increase on hotel stays and car rentals, as well as a $28.5 million donation from the Spurs. In July 2000, SBC Communications, Inc. signed a 20-year, $41 million deal with Bexar County, the San Antonio Spurs, and the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo for the naming rights to the building. In November 2005, SBC Communications changed its name to AT&T Inc. In January 2006, the arena became known as the AT&T Center. On July 2, 2021, it was announced that AT&T will not renew its contract for the venue's name. Since the deal ends in the fall of 2022, a new name could be coming soon.

Alamodome

The Alamodome is a dome-covered indoor stadium in San Antonio, Texas, with room for 64,000 people. It is on the edge of downtown San Antonio to the southeast. The building was built at a cost of $186 million and opened on May 15, 1993.
The multi-use building was meant to bring more conventions to the city and attract a professional football team. It also made the San Antonio Spurs happy because they wanted a bigger arena. The Spurs played for ten years in the Alamodome, but they didn't like it, so they got Bexar County to build them a new arena, which is now called the AT&T Center. The UTSA Roadrunners are the current regulars at the Alamodome. The San Antonio Commanders of the Alliance of American Football and the San Antonio Talons of the Arena Football League are two teams that have recently moved in.
